Ted is the youngest among the three brothers of the Raimi family. The eldest is Ivan Raimi who is a doctor and a writer. Ted's second eldest brother is the famous Sam Raimi, who is a producer, director, actor, and screenwriter. Sam is also one of the three people who formed Renaissance Productions. Ted had studied theater in three different universities. Michigan State University, University of New York and finally to the University of Detroit. He spent years playing "some of the most seriuos characters on earth" before bringing his superb comic talents to the cast of Xena. 

The role of the incompetent warrior Joxer on Xena: Warrior Princess has lead to an even bigger number of fans. He's a very down to earth person, known to be funny and sociable with people he meets. Some of his hobbies are writing screenplays, playing piano and trumpet. Ted wrote the original version of the "Joxer The Mighty".
