I am glad you have decided to explore my homepage, but you might ask why call this site “Digital Palimpsest”? Over past 14 years that I have been on the Internet, these pages and images have previously appeared in various forms and on many other websites I have made. This one retains much of both the old information about me as well as a lot of new stuff such as my Photography, News and a like. Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, defines a palimpsest as a manuscript page, scroll, or book that has been written on, scraped off, and used again. The word palimpsest comes from two Greek roots (palin + psEn) meaning, "scraped again." Romans wrote on wax-coated tablets that could be reused, and a passing use of the rather bookish term "palimpsest" by Cicero seems to refer to this practice. So I think the term palimpsest maybe suitable applied to this site of course, being electronic, I added the prefix digital as a union of this ancient term with the more modern expression of written information we now have.

I'm currently working for an employment service. I Administer about 22% of the Gold Coast's Work for The Dole Projects. If you like you're welcome to peruse my résumé. I have a broad range of skills and abilities with extensive experience in organising, producing and running Community events such as Concerts, Outdoor Entertainment and Family Days. Along with this, I also have experience and skills in Desktop publishing, Photography and Design layout.
