Goliath

In the earliest Biblical works, such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, Goliath was only four cubits and a span (6'9").  It would seem that even Biblical writers were capable of telling fish stories.
Also of note, in Samuel 21:19, Elhanan killed Goliath.  Some Bibles, such as the AV and the KJV have cunningly smoothed over this discrepancy by changing the story to say Elahan slew Goliath's brother.
