| This museum and cultural centre was built by the Sir Edmund Hilllary Foundation. This is the stupa at the entrance of the compound. Inside you will find artifacts of daily Sherpa life. The above photo is all the Sherpas that have successfully climbed Mount Everest. The center portrait is of the first female Sherpa to climb Everest. The photo above her is of Tenzing Norgay, the first Sherpa to reach the peak. He was Sir Edmund Hillary's partner during the climb. |
