PLOT: An answering service operator (Darcy Jo Martin) spends her spare time helping people in trouble, and falling in love with a down-on-his-luck author (Chuck Snell). A musical comedy.

HISTORY: Up to this point (at least), the most characters I've ever played in one show was this musical. My main character was Blake Barton, a Marlon Brando wannabe actor. My other characters included three voices on the phone, a bookie, a man on the subway, a cha-cha dancer, and a rich playboy. Altogether, eight different characters, and six different costumes (four of which I wore within the first five scenes of Act II).
I communicated extremely well with the rest of the cast and crew, and that made the hectic experience much more enjoyable.
I remember spending a number of extremely late nights with a few people (including my best bud of that semester, Danyelle Price) painting the show's sets. The most challenging paint job was a giant brick wall, which I spent a lot of time on. These days, I have a hard time believing I didn't go crazy painting all those darn bricks.
It was worth it, though. An excellent show, and the directors themselves called it one of the best casts that they'd ever worked with. It was certainly one of the best casts I'd ever worked with.
