Charlie's Angel's 2: Full Throtte
Dir. McG
One of the things I like about the summer time is that the movie powers that be consider it a time to give us a buffet. There is so much to choose from, with most of the selection being action or sequels. How about those action sequels? Charlie's Angel's seems to have a list of fun things that sexy women can do, that do not have any basis in reality. It goes down the list, one by one, and when they are done with the list, the movie's over. Make sure you turn off your brain when you turn off the cell phone, and you'll have a good time. It's fun and silly and ignores the laws of physics.

Full Throttle has the Angels going up against a bad guy who turns out to be a bad woman. Demi Moore plays Madison Lee, a former Angel who has seen how good being bad can be. She has stolen two rings which will unlock the FBI witness protection database, and she's going to sell it to the highest bidder. She also releases a bad man from Dylan's (Drew Barrymore's) past to keep the current Angel's occupied. That's pretty much it, plot-wise. You weren't expecting a good story, right?

I liked it, but not as much as the first one. That's fairly typical for a sequel. Bernie Mac has replaced Bill Murray in this one. I think Murray took a lot with him when he left. Crispen Glover is convincingly insane as the Thin Man. Demi Moore steals the movie, by out-sexying the main Angels, although the times she walking around in a bra and panties for no apparent reason is kind of lame. I'm guessing that scene isn't in there for the likes of me, but for the 15 year old boys in the audience. God bless the movie for teaching them young that older women can be sexy too. I thought that Moore was underused, though. John Cleese is beautiful as Alex's (Lucy Liu's) father, who is convinced his daughter is a prostitute.

I rate it: Rental

Cameron Diaz as Natalie

Drew Barrymore as Dylan

Lucy Liu as Alex

Bernie Mac as Bosley

Crispin Glover as The Thin Man

Demi Moore as Madison Lee
