In Memory of
~ Tiger ~
He gave us 9 years of joy
He will be missed and always remembered

Tiger came to us as a tiny, tiny 7 week old kitten. He was so tiny he just fit in Grandpa's hand.
It was Grandpa that had the honor of holding him on his very first ride in the truck.

He was born outside in late fall underneath of a Church. He had to be taken from his Mom a little early as the weather was starting to get colder and we wanted to get him inside.
As a result of leaving his Mom early he just loved to knead his tiny paws into anything that was soft
( as it turned out the softest thing he usually found was my tummy).

As a baby he fast developed a few habits he found hard to break,
the funiest was falling off of everything he laid on.
He was just so content he would stretch and roll onto his back and then oops yes he was on the floor.
He would shake his head and quickly return
( well maybe not quite so quickly, you see he had to make a stop at his food dish first)
As you can see he was a big boy

We will miss the sound of you running down the hall
(he sounded like a horse )
and the races to the front door when sombody came to call
(you always won)
Dad will miss triping over you cause you were always at his feet waiting for a rub
and yes he will even miss you stealing his side of the bed

I, my Tiger will miss you the most cause you were the one I told all my secrets to
and shared my tears over the years
you were the one that listened and understood.
I will miss walking around house and triping over you
because you thought for sure your dish was empty every time I moved.
I will miss that no matter where I was you had to be there too.
We had almost 10 years with you
and now its time for you to become what I like to call an
~ Angel Kitty ~
as I am sure there is someone in need of your love

The day that God created cats he didn't do another thing
except sit back and smile

This was truly one very special kitty.

Please stay and share some of the goodtimes with my family
Love Mommy...Daddy...Boo...Jay
and all those that watched him grow
as well as his extended internet family

If our pets could speak perhaps they might say......

IF I SHOULD GROW FRAIL

If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain does keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done
for this - the last battle -can't be won.

You will be sad I understand
But don't let grief then stay your hand.
For on this day, more than the rest
Your love and friendship must stand the test.

We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.

I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.

Don't grieve that it must now be you
Who has to decide this thing to do.
We've been so close - we two -these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

The Rainbows Bridge Poem

http://rainbowsbridge.com

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Pet Sympathy Card
This was one of the many sympathy cards sent to us

A PET'S PRAYER

MY PEOPLE ARE SO PRECIOUS LORD;
I KNOW YOU THINK SO TOO…
AND I BELIEVE THAT YOU PUT ME HERE
TO LOVE THEM JUST FOR YOU.

THEY TOOK SO GENTLE CARE OF ME
AND HAVE SUCH TENDER HEARTS…
PLEASE USE ME LORD, TO COMFORT THEM
WHEN THEIR TEARDROPS START.

THEY FACED A LOT OF BATTLES
AS THEY LIVED AND WORKED EACH DAY…
THEY NEEDED ME LORD, TO MAKE THEM SMILE
AND SHOW THEM HOW TO PLAY.

THE WORLD IS FULL OF PEOPLE,
BUT SOMETIMES REAL FRIENDS ARE FEW…
PLEASE LET MY LOVE AND LOYALTY
REMIND THEM, LORD OF YOU.

AND NOW MY FINAL MOMENT HAS COME
LORD; TELL THEM AS WE PART…
I WAS A MADE -TO -ORDER GIFT
FROM YOUR GREAT AND LOVING HEART!
