The artists were invited to make a work in any material and form that could best hint at an aspect of themselves, which was not known to others.

The work I decided upon were 2 bowls of different sizes, the larger filled with water made black and the smaller one, empty, and floating in the larger bowl.  Inscribed on the inner rim of the smaller empty bowl was the statement ‘emptying myself of images and words’.

This work is a marker for the next set of works that I will be making with the concept of ‘ using the received image’ in an environment, as opposed to ‘generating new images’.
