Fishing in Western Pennsylvania
Most of my fishing is done in Western Pennsylvania within a one hour drive of Pittsburgh.  I have a 14 foot aluminum fishing boat that I use to fish both lake and river.  My favorite places to fish are the Beaver River and Lake Arthur.

The Beaver River is a small river that intersects the Ohio river at its northernmost point.  The river has a healthy population of largemouth and smallmouth bass, white bass, sauger, walleye, and catfish.  My favorite method of fishing the river is trolling along the length of the river following contours and drop-offs.  I also like casting lures along the shoreline.

Lake Arthur is a man-made lake that is one hour north of Pittsbugh.  The lake has a sizeable population of largemouth and smallmouth bass, striped bass, walleye and panfish.  My favorite method of fishing the lake is to cast lures along the shoreline or along the edges of big patches of lily pads.  I usually fish the eastern portions of the lake near the waterfowl propagation area.
