FEEDING
Your puppy should be fully weaned when you take him home at 8 weeks of age.

Until
6 months of age he will need 4 small meals  each day, and  he should be allowed to eat until he is satisified, and then the remaining food be removed.
It is very unlikely that he will overeat at this stage.

Always make sure he has plenty of fresh water available at all times.

From
6 to 12 months of age he will require only 3 meals a day, supplemented with fresh raw bones.  Brisket bones are best, and they help to keep your dogs teeth free from plaque and tatar.

From
12 to 18 months you give him 2 meals per day and from 18 months on only one meal per day.

It is best to feed your adult dog in the mornings so that he has all day to run and exercise.  That way you are less likely to have an obese dog.

You will find it more cost effective to give him only best quality foods.  They not only keep him healthier, but also contain less fillers that are unusable to him.

We personally give our Dalmatians dry food only that contain no artificial colourings, or preservatives.

They love cooked vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, and pumpkin.  Fruit, such as apples and pears.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS SHOULD NEVER BE GIVEN!
COOKED OR SMALL BONES
CORN COBS
MORE THAN 500 GRAMS OF CHOCOLATE
ONION RAW OR COOKED

Your Dalmatian will make a good garbage disposal as they are not known to be fussy eaters.  Do not overfeed your Adult dog, as not only will you shorten his life span, a fat Dalmatian is not a pretty site.

Don't forget the brisket bones, a bone every
2 or 3 days is very healthy for your dog.  They keep his teeth and gums healthy and white, and promote a  fresh breath.  Especially a bonus as your Dally loves cuddles.

DON'T FORGET THE FRESH WATER.
An automatic waterer fixed to the tap is a definite bonus for your dog.
