Haynes Drum of The Emmett Guards, Co. A of the 13th Vermont Infantry. Haynes was known for his unusual eagle patterns. Label reads: John C. Haynes & Co., No. 33 Court St., Boston.

A 16"x16" drum made by "Ernest Vogt, manufacturer of Drums, Banjos, Tambourines, &c. No. 225 Beaver Street, Philadelphia, Contract, December 29, 1864." The contract was for 2,000 regimental drums.

Bass drum of the 5th Md. Vol. Inf. (the Germans). Drum was damaged by an artillery shell explosion at Antietam during the Bloody Lane battle - verified. From the J.B. Collection.
