Sparky's Page

Our daughter has wanted a dog ever since, at nine months, she

heard a neighbor's dog barking and started imitating it! So we

decided to get her one that would fit in well with our family--

small, quiet, neat, smart, and not very work intensive--a dog

which is easy enough for a little girl to take care of. So guess

what Evie got for Christmas. And is he ever a darling!

Rat Terriers LOVE heat. One of his favorite spots:

By the Fire

Evie wanted to hold him.

He bonded well with Roger at first.

Always sneaking under the covers

Snuggling--I think Sparky considers himself one of the kids

What was that?!

Sparky's Pal: Thomas the Cat

This summer I started working full time. Sparky was getting

lonely, and I happened to spot a beautiful red kitten one day. After a

quick decision, Thomas came to stay. Those two wrestle and play together

a lot. They sometimes sleep together too.

Thomas is a very vocal, smart and mischevious cat. I've heard

that red cats tend to be so. Sparky helps keep him in line!

zzzzzzzzz.....huh?

SAD NEWS: We returned from vacation summer of 2001

to find out that Thomas had eaten something bad and

was very sick. He died at only a year old. Sniff!

We miss you Thomas.

However, this summer (2003) we heard that my sister

Mel's cat had kittens. So after Thanksgiving we

brought home 9 wk. old Tiger, a female orange striped

puss. She is sassy and keeps Sparky busy. She's a lot

like Thomas, only female!
