| Zeca is Marítimo's captain and a worthy representant of the club's spirit. Inside the field his style is caracterized by precious positioning, tatical inteligence and the already indispensable determination that every symbol must have. Having signed for Marítimo at the age of 15, Zeca is now in his 15th season, making him the longest serving player at the club. His dedication and commitment to Marítimo makes him a firm fan favourite and claimed by many to be one of the verde-rubros greatest ever players. In his early days as a professional football player, Zeca was a promising international , and a member of the Portugal Under 21 squad playing in the 1993 World Youth Cup. Although his career has been threatened with a number of injuries, Zeca has always played his heart out for his club. A true symbol of dedication. |
