Who Is This?

Who is this, who comes up from the waste places, resting on her loved one?

Who is she who trusts her beloved so fully as to lean wholly on him and as a result comes out of the wilderness?

"Let your eyes be turned away from me; see, they have overcome me."

Who is she whose eyes so overcome the Bridegroom that He asks her to turn her eyes away?

"You have ravished My heart, My sister, My spouse; you have ravished My heart with one of your eyes,.."

Who is it that has overcome the Bridegroom so fully for Him to say such words of love, such expressions of an overcome lover.

Don't you hear Him calling you? It's you He is speaking to. You are His beloved, if you would care to believe it, if you would seek Him out. If you would realize that all He desires of you is that you trust wholly on Him, lean with all of your weight upon His trustworthy arms.
Look Him full in His face. Do you see the longing? Are not His eyes brimming with love for you? Do you see Him on the cross, His thoughts entirely for His bride? For you. The physical pain, the anguish of His father having to look away, a joy for Him to bare for you.
You ask, why does He love me so? Can it truly be me He is seeking?

"When you are finished, when you have ceased from your works as I ceased from Mine. When you learn to trust in Me and to rest everything you are, everything you hope to be in Me then you will be ready for Me."
