The Cattle

In my dream there was a large herd of cattle. It was a mixed herd of smaller brown cows that I knew to be meat animals and black cows with white spots that I knew to be milk cows. There was a big commotion in the herd and I saw the black and white cows being separated from out of the mix by the brown cows. One very large, black and white, powerful looking, horn-less bull that had been jumping around in their midst was the last to be chased out from among them. The brown herd then began to push the black and white herd into a smaller and smaller section of the field. The brown herd was mooing and making eerie sounds which seemed to frighten the black and white herd. The cows at the front of the now separated brown herd were crouching down on their haunches as you see sheep-herding dogs do as the shepherd instructs them to keep watch on the sheep. The separation between the two herds became greater and greater. The brown herd seemed to have an appearance of order about them but the black and white herd was in total panic jumping up and down over one another very frightened by the brown ones. None of the brown herd had horns.

   Interpretation

The mixed herd of cattle represents the mix of those who stand for truth and those who are deceived and accept error, in today's church. The black and white animals are those who stand for the truth and are not allowing the "anything goes" attitude of the world to pollute them. The brown animals are those who have allowed the enemy to take control over them allowing all sorts of  doctrines of death to permeate them and deceive them. The meaning of them being either milk cows or cows for the slaughter is that the black and white animals are going to remain and be useful while the brown animals will eventually be removed and all that they are and represent will be consumed. Being milk cows indicates that the ones who stand for truth have been useful to some extent bringing nourishment to the people of God. The separation by force that the brown animals bring about indicates that the deceived ones will for a while be able to quell and restrain those who stand for truth. The meaning of the last animal, the large, powerful looking, black and white horn-less bull, is that one who appears to be strong and tries desperately to warn the deceived ones will not have any power (no horns) to prevail and will not succeed. The black and white herd being pushed into a smaller and smaller section of the field indicates that those who stand for truth will be cornered and held at bay for a time while the deceived gain more and more control. The greater and greater separation of the herds indicates the very apparent differences between the ones who walk in truth and those who are deceived. The mooing and eerie sounds emanating from the brown herd are indications of the use of deliberate scare tactics and counterfeit spirituality to maintain control over the ones who walk in truth. The crouching down on their haunches of the brown cows, the poise of a sheep-herding dog ready to pounce if a sheep gets out of line, indicates the intense scrutiny those in the truth will stand under for a while. Those who stand for truth will even be frightened by the deceived for a while and will be held under their control, held down and rendered ineffectual. They will even hurt each other in the ensuing melee by jumping all over one another. The significance of the fact that the brown herd had no horns is that they were in actuality powerless and truly it was the fault of the ones who stand in truth, allowing the deceived to be in control.
I believe this dream is telling those of us who stand for the truth, and nothing less, no watered down religion polluted by the ways of man, must arise and defeat the enemy who has already been rendered defeated by our Lord and Saviour. We must loose ourselves from the fear of the enemy and take our rightful places in God's Kingdom. We must stop hurting one another and take upon ourselves the most powerful weapon of them all, the love of God. We must tear down the walls of separation we must do away with the precepts of man we must step out in all that the Lord has called us to and forge ahead as the mighty army of God!!
Rise up people of God rise up for this is the day that the Lord has made!!
(I realized something very interesting, just recently, about the dream of the cattle. Apparently, milk cows, in order to continue producing milk, are in a constant state of pregnancy. I believe this pregnancy speaks of the potential of the true church. God is saying by this that those of us who truly love Him and desire to walk in His ways need to recognize that we are to be expectant. If we will bear down in prayer, persevere in an attitude of humility He will hear us and answer the cries of His people.)
