My thoughts.

On January 24, 2001, the fate of the above Georgia flag was sealed. Gov. Roy Barnes unvieled his proposal for a "compromise" state flag, saying "It is time to end it (the controversy) before it divides us into warring camps and erodes four decades of economic progress." Bull crap, Gov. Barnes, absolute and utter bull crap. Gov. Barnes has gone back on his raisin, denying his heritage as well as ours.Gov. Barnes' moves to change the state flag have broadened and widened the divide between the already warring camps. My heritage is down the crapper, and he's rambling about money! Stone Mountain has been sold to Dolly Wood, and thier plans are to turn the largest monument honoring our Confederate heros, into a friggin theme park with rides for the kiddies.

What about the TRUTH? Do you mean to tell me that these people who adorn themselves in their prissy uniforms, and their official name tags are gonna tell me the REAL story of the Confederacy if I ask? Heck no!

"Mommy mommy, who are those men on horses up there on the mountain?" "I don't know, son, they must be important somewhere." Enter theme park employee: "Those were just a bunch of outlaws who paraded around and killed OUR American troops. And under Pres. Lincoln we beat 'um good." Mom again "Oh! I always wondered who they were. I'm glad we had Lincoln to put a stop to them."

Who knows, before it comes to that, they might just get a notion one day to blow Stone Mountin sky friggin high, use the granite to make a top hat for the Caesar Memorial in Washington DC, and use the proceeds to make a gigormous Neon sign to point the way to Dolly Land, "We used to be the largest granite mountain in the world, now we are just trying to figure out what to do with all the fragments." People, the time to holler is now.

Our heritage is being eroded, not the economic situation of Geargia like Gov. Biggity Britches said. As long as we have an economy, and a map like the AJC printed a few weeks ago, to point the way for illegal Mexican immigrants to come to Atlanta and steal our jobs, and our money, the state of Georgia will be doin just hunky dorey.

Can't say the same about us though.
