5. Two Ways to the Same End

“You ready guys?” Sango asked.

“I have a better plan, I already knew this was going to happen… So listen up!” that was InuYasha, bad at solutions good at battles, “I’m going to get my normal body back, and Naraku’s going to help. So here’s the plan…..” Everyone was quiet as he explained his plan it was brilliant. Sango looked at him with an odd face.

“So what’s plan B?” she asked.

“Kagome says the ‘s’ word,” he looked unhappy at his own idea, “the first plan is to get the Tetsusaiga back to me as soon as possible, remember that reverses my transformations. If that fails, and Plan B fails don’t hesitate to do what must be done.”

“Got it, but if it comes to that forgive us if we hesitate InuYasha,” Miroku said. Everyone that could gave Human InuYasha a giant group hug (except Kikyo, she doesn’t do hugs), what they thought could be their last.

“Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that,” Kagome said readying her bow. Kikyo stood next to her doing the same. Sango was ready to jump off with Kirara and take them down; Miroku was standing ready behind them. Shippo was on InuYasha’s shoulder hoping to be left out of the main action. InuYasha was right in the center with an extra DemonSlayer Sword, his jet-black hair blowing away in the strong wind created by Naraku and Demon InuYasha’s presence.

Naraku stood behind Demon InuYasha with a look that read “let’s get this over with”. Demon InuYasha approached Human InuYasha with an evil look in his eye, there was no remorse or guilt in those eyes. Human InuYasha motioned for them to move back as he walked forward. Shippo ran off towards Kagome and Kikyo.

“Not even going to but up a fight Human?” Demon InuYasha snarled. He looked almost unhappy as his Human self turned himself over without a fight.

“Is really worth fighting myself to accomplish the same goal I can get by easier means?” Human InuYasha asked him. The two of them stood there, even Naraku watched as the two seemed to recognize what they truly were. Two halves of the same exact person.

“No…” Demon InuYasha whispered. He finally understood what his other half was telling him. One half is equal to nothing in the face of a whole, but two halves, no matter how different, can become a whole together if they live in harmony.

“Good, now they agree on something… NOW BEHOLD THE POWER OF THE MIRROR OF STILLNESS!”Naraku used the Mirror of Stillness to combine the to halves of InuYasha into a whole. Then after the two safely merged into one, in one foul swoop he came up behind InuYasha and thrust in a jewel shard into his body. InuYasha howled in pain as the tainted shard entered his body.

“No, INUYASHA!” Kagome cried as she threw him the Tetsusaiga. It landed just short. Why did they let her throw the thing? InuYasha started pulsing, that was the sign for them to start their assault on Naraku. Kagome fired her shot first and hit her target, his brains. Then she took off running for the sword.

‘What have I done?’ Kagome thought as she grabbed the sword, ‘I can hear him now… Can’t do anything without me can ya? Then he’ll laugh at me!’ She threw the sword right at him this time. This time he caught it, it wasn’t enough to purify the shard, but enough to prevent him from transforming. Naraku regenerated his head in the meanwhile…

“Kagome hurry!” he yelled his voice was strained. She ran over and touched the tainted shard, it instantly became pure again. It took her a second to pull the shard out, she didn’t want to hurt InuYasha anymore then she had to.

“YEOCH! That definitely hurt,” InuYasha yelled as she finished pulling the shard out.

“InuYasha, do what you do best!” Kagome said as she took the shard and shoved it in her pocket. Naraku realized he could win without the shard, so he evaporated into Miasma and disappeared for now… That was like Naraku, and so was him leaving a trap for them. Thinking alike everyone cleared out as the place filled with Miasma. That’s all they could do as the watch Naraku escape.

“I hate to say, but thanks to Naraku InuYasha’s back to normal! YAY!” with Kagome’s statement in mind the Inu Tachi made way for Kaede’s village.

I hate to say it, put it’s almost the end… That’s depressing. It’s not the end ‘til I say so, which means I’ll have to say it for this fan fiction soon. Very depressing… Oh and anybody’s who willing to read through and check for my stupid errors please put them in your review. Just wait for the last chapter, the Fixed Reflection. Thanx much. Yours truly, Hittocere.
