3. The Good, the Bad, and the Dumb

Kagome left with a puzzled yet pissed look on her face. Since neither of the InuYasha’s could use it she took the Tetsusaiga with for safekeeping. She left the two InuYashas in Kikyo’s care, no matter how much she didn’t like it. Kikyo joined the group on their quest to find the mirror, but their search of Kaguya’s old castle was useless.

“How long do I have to carry this dead weight?” Demon InuYasha asked. Since the split Human InuYasha had begin to seem like nothing more than a weak and useless Human. Demon InuYasha wasn’t so glamorous either… he killed a lot, and had a shorter temper than normal InuYasha. The rest of the gang, Kikyo and perhaps Kagome in particular wished the two would un-split. Their efforts were all proven futile by the time Sesshomaru showed up again.

“Hey… Have you seen Rin?” Sesshomaru was looking slightly worried at this point.

“No, is she missing?” Sango asked, he nodded, “Well where and when did you last see her?”

“Rin was right behind me before I left to face Naraku, but when I returned she wasn’t there. I can’t even find any traces of her scent,” Sesshomaru looked at the two InuYashas, he was puzzled, but he was sure that both of them were InuYasha.

“Don’t ask. Did you check Kaede’s Village?” Sesshomaru shook his head. He was surprised that the Human one was the one talking to him, he decided perhaps InuYasha wasn’t so bad.

“Let’s go, we should probably tell Kaede about this anyway,” Miroku said coolly. This was the first time they didn’t fight while Sesshomaru and InuYasha were in the same area at the same time.

“Whatever, can we leave him there?” Demon InuYasha asked. He was referring to Human InuYasha; the answer was a solid WHACK to the forehead. “Do that again I dare ya mortal!” The shouting match lasted until Human InuYasha passed out again.

“That’s not good, normally he doesn’t sleep in that form,” Sesshomaru commented. An eyebrow rose as he ran beside an annoyed Demon InuYasha, his eyes gave a look of cold curiosity.

“Here, you take him for now,” Demon InuYasha handed the unconscious Human InuYasha to Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru thought about dropping him when he realized it wasn’t a good idea with his demon half in this pissed off state. Thus Human InuYasha is slung over the Fluff shoulder, and Demon InuYasha is in the front keeping a lookout as the group travels back to Kaede’s Village.

“Why is Sesshomaru being nice?” Shippo asked Miroku and Sango.

“You know I CAN hear you right?” Sesshomaru said annoyed.

“He knows that it isn’t wise to tick that Demon InuYasha off, and he’s worried about that little girl who follows him around. Its in his interests to help InuYasha out for now anyway,” Miroku answered. Shippo almost fell asleep with his long complicated answer. He looked ahead once he was finished half expecting to see Kikyo jumping in the Bone Eater’s Well, or perhaps it was Kagome he couldn’t tell from what he saw though.

“InuYasha, when is he going to wake up? He’s just a deadweight in this condition of his isn’t he?” Sesshomaru asked Demon InuYasha, but his response was from Kikyo. Don’t ask him how she was keeping up. It certainly wasn’t likely she’d waste her time like that…

“He’s in a delicate state Lord Sesshomaru, he has been ripped in two literally. Can’t you give your younger brother a break for once?” Kikyo seemed to be being carried by her Soul Collectors, which actually made sense for that question earlier. Sesshomaru gave her an unpleasant look.

“I think he’s had enough of a break considering he’s been out for since we left,” Sesshomaru didn’t raise his voice, he just said this in a cold tone. It would be so improper if he, Lord Sesshomaru would raise his voice at a dead woman for such a trivial subject as his disgraceful half brother.

“You surprise me Lord Sesshomaru,” Kikyo said, “Anyways your companion is at Kaede’s house for some reason.”

“Don’t expect a thanks from him Kikyo,” was the reply that came from a now aware Human InuYasha. Sesshomaru’s face had a small smile across it.

“Don’t, he can’t keep up if you did,” Demon InuYasha replied before Sesshomaru did whatever he was going to do.

“SESSHOMARU SAMA!” a delighted Rin called, Kagome was standing beside her with some candy.

“It’s you, what do you want?” Demon InuYasha asked as they stopped at Kaede’s house.

“I was watching Rin and that stupid little toad for Sesshomaru. I knew they weren’t supposed to be by the Bone Eater’s Well picking flowers,” she answered, she was still holding the Tetsusaiga, “Kaede wants to see you guys anyway.”

“Oh, Kagome are you alright?” Miroku asked.

“Yeah, you left before we could ask,” Sango hopped off Kirara to talk to Kagome. Kagome looked happy.

“At least someone cares, and isn’t to obsessed with his dead girlfriend to ask!” Sesshomaru looked confused, was she talking to him or InuYasha? He didn’t have an obsession so he decided it was InuYasha she was referring to.

“Rin, Jaken, lets go,” he said and walked off, he was trying so hard not to attack InuYasha, and he had managed not to. (HAZAH Sesshomaru!) Kagome went over to Demon InuYasha.

“Getting tried of messing around with a clay doll yet?” she asked.

“Annoying wench, at least she’s quiet!” he yelled.

“So what! She’s dead moron!” she yelled back.

“Who cares? She at least I don’t have to rescue her you stupid girl!” DI.

“Stupid girl? At least I know what a rocket is!” KH

“A Rocket, WHAT THE HELL IS A ROCKET? At least she’s not crazy!” DI

“At least people from my era are normal, you two are just freaks!” she shouted at him. That’s when Human InuYasha comes over he looks pissed Kikyo’s standing right behind him.

“Kagome who’s calling who a freak? You’re the one that’s always getting yourself in trouble for butting when it’s not your problem!” Human InuYasha yelled tapping her shoulder.

“Look who’s talking,” she said quietly. Human InuYasha looked at her in annoyance.

“Whatever, anyways Kikyo and I came up with a good plan,” everyone looked shocked, and then concluded it was definitely Kikyo’s idea.

“The two InuYasha’s should be split up, one kept safe while the other goes with you guys. The best idea is for me to take Human InuYasha somewhere where Naraku can’t get to him, and have Demon InuYasha go with you guys,” Kikyo said calmly. Kagome looked upset, but then decided it was better than listening to both of them complain.

“What’s the catch?” Sango said sensing Kagome’s doubt.

“No catch, but if Naraku uses Human InuYasha to get to him we are all doomed,” she said pointing at Demon InuYasha, “should we take Tetsusaiga with us?” She got several nods to the ‘doomed’ remark. Demon InuYasha was definitely a threat if left in Naraku’s clutches.

“No point sending it with either, it won’t transform for either of them right now… So go ahead, just in case,” Kagome handed her the sword, “take care of him Kikyo.”

“Don’t die fool,” Demon InuYasha said sarcastically.

“Yeah right, like I’d let that happen,” Human InuYasha replied, “well see ya later guys, bye Kagome.”

“I suppose you’ll come find us if anything goes wrong,” Kagome asked Kikyo, Kikyo nodded and called her soul collectors.

“He’s in good hands Kagome, let us be on our way to find Naraku,” Miroku said sensing her sadness. That was hardest thing for Kagome to ever do; she couldn’t stand watching him leave with Kikyo. She knew that if Kikyo hadn’t he might not make it through this. They never did talk to Kaede…
