PAIRING : Buffy/Spike conversation

RATING : PG

SPOILERS : “Fool For Love”

DISCLAIMER : I do not own these characters.

NOTES : Just my ending for the episode.

“What’s wrong?” He asked his mortal enemy.

“I don’t wanna talk about it.” Her eyes were haunting, so sad. He’d never seen eyes so pained.

Spike sat down and put the gun down behind him. He looked over at the slayer and patted her back, unsure of what to do. They sat for some time, quiet, looking out beyond the trees, into nothingness.

“Spike?” She said after an hour of silence.

                “Yes?”

She didn’t look at him, but continued to stare off into nothing. “I’m sorry.”

                “For what?”

“I wouldn’t wanna die at just any demon’s hands.”

                “What?”

“Suppose the day does come when… you’re the only one I’d wanna dance with.”

What? He asked himself over and over. Had this not been the girl who a couple hours ago said that he was beneath her? He just sat, taking the information in.

                “Just promise me something.”

                “What?” He asked her.

“Promise me that when the day comes, that you’ll make it quick.”

“Won’t hurt a bit.” He replied.

MY EXTREME THANKS TO: dru's bitch, evil willow, ryan & sanne

Disclaimer: Please note that characters resembling Buffy & Angel characters do NOT belong to crazy evil dru by any stretch of the imagination. They belong to 20th Century Fox, Mutant Enemy & Joss Whedon. I’m a poor college student with nothing better to do than fantasize about television characters, no copyright infringement is intended. This fiction is strictly for my own amusement, and apparently that of others.
