Frances Julia Ann Cone
Frances Julia Ann Cone was born about 1812 in Greene County, Georgia,
the daughter of William Cone who was a judge of the Interior Court of Greene
County and a State Legislator. Her mother is unknown at this time.
She married Samuel H. Beman on January 26 1831 and thereafter they
lived in both Georgia and New York where Samuel had been born. After
the death of Samuel Beman in 1856 in New York, Frances Julia Ann Cone moved
to Texas to be with her daughter Mary Elizabeth Beman/Daniel, bringing alonh
her young son, Henry Beman. Her daughter Mary Elizabeth, died sometime
in 1859 leaving two young daughters, Anne and Frances. When the war
came, Frances Julia Ann Cone took her two grand-daughters and her son and
returned to Georgia for the duration of the war. After the war she
returned to Texas eventually living with her grand-daughter Anne Daniel/Davidson,
dying ten days after Anne in 1884 in a pneumonia epidemic.
