 An hour's drive south of Cancun, on Mexico's Caribbean coast - known as the Mayan Riviera - lies the community of Akumal. A gathering of small hotels, private villas and low-rise condo buildings make up this peaceful oasis. The beaches are spectacular, the palms numerous and elegant, and the water is many different shades of blue and turquoise.
Our condo is located on Akumal's Half-Moon Bay, in a three story beachfront building called La Mirage. There are two large bedrooms and two baths, one of which is en suite. A fully equipped kitchen, spacious living-dining area and a huge balcony overlooking the beach and the Caribbean are all bright and attractively furnished. There's a renowned restaurant- La Lunita - next door and other restaurants are nearby.
