The Brusatte Sports Museum was founded in the summer of 1994 by Steve Brusatte of Ottawa, Illinois. It currently consists of two rooms, each holding hundreds of pieces of memorabilia from all sports, from baseball and basketball to fishing and dirt bike racing. The museum's claim to fame is its baseball Hall of Fame. The Hall honors baseball players who have recently hung up their spikes. Five or fewer members are elected yearly. The BSM publishes the BSM Insider bi-monthly and hosts many websites. Their address is 3 Shady Lane, Ottawa, IL 61350. You can reach the BSM and its founder-Steve Brusatte-by e-mail at brusatte@theramp.net.
Shaquille O'Neal and his Lakers are expected to take a run at the Western Conference title.
THE BSM HALL OF FAME
The BSM Hall of Fame is for baseball players who have recently retired or are "aging." The Hall started in 1994, the year the museum was founded. Its first class is the one that the Hall is most noted for. It was lead by charter member Carlton Fisk. Fellow inductees included Cooperstown members Nolan Ryan, George Brett, and Robin Yount, plus two Cooperstown hopefulls, Ryne Sandberg and Ozzie Smith. The first year of the inductions, 6 players were honored. That is now against BSM Hall rules. Only five or fewer can be elected yearly. Here is the list:

SUPER BOWL XXXIII-THE LAST STAND?
Super Bowl 33 was full of action and surprises. Since you have heard the results all ready, I will just post the most important of facts. The Broncos beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-19, of course. John Elway was the MVP of Super Bowl XXXIII after throwing over 320 yards. Terrell Davis had another great game, rushing for 102 yards. University of Illinois product Howard Griffith matched his regular season output with 4 carries, and he even scored two touchdowns. The lone bright spot for Dan Reeves' Atlanta team was Tim Dwight's kickoff return for a touchdown. Chris Chandler threw three interceptions and Jamal Anderson failed to run for 100 yards. Denver's defense held Atlanta's offense to only one offensive touchdown. In what may be his last performance of his Hall of Fame career, John Elway had the game of his life. After the victory the Broncos celebrated in front of 600,000+ fans in downtown Denver. It was a great season.

SAMMY SOSA IS NOT A ROLE MODEL
No, Sammy Sosa is not a role model. He isn't really that great of ball player. He blew off a CORE banquet because they would not give him a private jet. He won an undeserving award from the Pope and did not even go see him in St. Louis. Not that Sammy is a bad man, he just is not a god. His stats are not that great either. Even though he hit 66 homers, he still lead the league in strikeouts and his career batting average is .260. He simply had a career year and the media is making him into a god. For more of my Sosa views, go to the BSM's free internet club. It is a place to chat baseball. Leave baseball related messages and meet new people. Just follow the link below.
