Have you ever wondered what the cute little +'s mean on the NTN scoreboard? Well now, courtesy of the folks at HI NASA we have the answer:

If you haven't already figured it out, these things are good for only 1 thing...BRAGGING RIGHTS !!! (Or a reason to seek professional help, depending on how you look at it)
The way it works is this...For EACH regular game of NTN trivia that you play, there are 2 possible outcomes: You will either A) Beat the pre-assigned score, in which case you receive 1000 Player's Plus points or B) You will NOT beat the pre-assigned score, in which case you will receive 500 Player's Plus points. Premium games are awarded points at a higher level (generally 1000 points per 1/2 hour of the game if you beat the pre-assigned score, with the exceptions of SHOWDOWN & Sports Trivia which award 3000 points for beating the pre-assigned score of the hour-long game).
