Here is my new DRSSTC. it's the second i have built and i hope this one will be better than the first in function(not looks)
This will be running at 200KHz with the topload when it's added.
it will be running a half bridge of hgt1n40n60 igbt's and 100nF tank cap with adjustable break rate from 30bps to 370bps.
the ontime is adjustable from 50uS to 750uS

Pictured here is the base with the tank capacitor installed. it runs directly into the high voltage bushing which will connect to the tuning lead to the primary.
im hoping this layout will reduce losses greatly.
pictured on the left hand leg is the earthing rail mounted on 2 high volatge bushings for looks more than anything.

Here is the half bridge of igbts.
the volateg divider caps shown are 1uF 1000V. there are also 33V zener diodes across the gates to protect them from over voltage.
This is my new interupter. The box is shielded and has a 3 pin microphone cable connector.
green led is power on indication with power on switch and the two pots for on time and break rate.
This is the controller in a shielded enclosure. to the left is the feedback/gate drive board. in the middle is the dc supply board and to the right the step down transformer. outside the box on standoffs is the line filter for mains into the box.
