Lightning Days
There's a mystery in the caves of Afghanistan...

Josh Cassidy knows there is no such thing as a routine mission when he is sent to accompany an ill-prepared band of reservists on a hastily prepared mission into the lawless heart of Southern Afghanistan. The mysterious heat source that showed up on the military satellites could be just about anything, but nobody is prepared for what it actually is.

The horde of refugees that our world has to cope with is nothing compared to the vast, inhuman threat that they are fleeing from. With the mysterious Sophia, Cassidy must lead a second expedition, deep into the heart of enemy territory.

"Imagine Raymond Feist's Riftwars crossed with Stephen Baxter's love of large timescales and you're starting to appreciate the story in Lightning Days."
-Interzone

"An enthralling book.’
- Reader Views

"A great science fiction novel."
-TCM

"Harvey does a great job of showing us soldiers caught up in something so far over their heads there's not even a hint of light above. I especially enjoyed his detailed look into Neanderthal (Thal) culture and how the differences found in Thal physiology can lead to a vastly different outlook on the world.

Lightning Days was a fantastic read and I highly recommend it."
