The life of Chris Clow started out as an easy one. He was born in Los Angeles, California as the third child to Charles and Jana Clow. Siblings were Matt and Megan. Chris, at the age of two, was not interested in things of other boys his age. He had an ongoing love for the Dark Knight, Batman which still lasts today. Chris, looking back on that, says, "I think that Batman gave me the morals that I carry with me today. Batman fights for truth and justice, and sometimes I find myself doing the same." After living in the Southern California area until age seven, his father took a job he couldn't refuse, the family moved to the Great Northwest, and right off the bat, Chris hated it. His family was in California, and he missed all his old friends. It took him a year, but he started to enjoy things there. Looking back, he said that 2nd grade was, "the best school year I've ever had."

As 3rd grade rolled around, Chris found a lasting friendship in his teacher, Mitch Kornelis. He was somebody Chris could connect to, and they were interested in many of the same things. Chris ended up having Mr. Kornelis for 4th grade at the brand new Vossbeck Elementary School. 5th grade was a year of fun, and also an establishment of a "faction" which people at Vossbeck still talk about today. A group known as "The 4 Punkies". It all started with four friends: Chris Hadley, Jordan Beanblossom, John Rutgers, and Chris. Chris (Clow) was elected the leader of the group. The first motivation behind creating the group was to, "watch eachothers back as they go into Middle School". The group quickly grew to span a number of over twenty-five members. People who were involved with the group don't enjoy talking about it much today, but were proud while it was happening. But, they were glorious days for Chris, and spanned through the entire year of fifth grade, and partially sixth. The entire 25 member group was once called into the School's counselor's office and called the "role-models" of the entire school. They vanquished all injustice in the school.

As sixth grade started, The Punkies disbanded, he started to enjoy Middle School, and thought he would always enjoy it. He was wrong.
