Close N' Confident Laser Therapies
                              IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapies represent one of the most advanced skin rejuvenation technologies, and is now available in our office for treating aging skin.  Photo damaged skin is more than just wrinkles; it is hyperpigmentation (excess and uneven color changes), enlarged pores, telangiectasias (dilated tiny blood vessels), and brown "age spots".   Classical treatment for most of these conditions required significant  healing time for patients.  Alternative solutions have been provided thru IPL Resurfacing, with little or no visible healing time in most patients.
      The
Lumenis One uses Intense Pulsed Light at computer-directed, optimal settings to slow down the signs of aging, reduce birthmarks, unwanted hair, unsightly small veins, and even smooth and tighten some wrinkles. The redness associated with Rosacea, red spots, brown spots, and other benign pigmented lesions can be significantly reduced.  Reduction in these imperfections, as well as decreasing skin pore size and reduced wrinkles can lead to smoother, revitalized skin.  These same treatments can be used on the neck, chest, and hands. Treatments are accompanied by minimal discomfort, and minimal or no "down time".  The Lumenis One attacks the collagen beneath the skin to create a smoother layer of collagen that reflects in a smoother surface above.  The chilled crystal surface minimizes heat injury to the skin surface.

IPL is gentler than most lasers and
works best in a series of treatments.  To reach significant improvement usually requires a series of 2-5 sessions.  After each treatment there is usually some darkening of the skin or mild redness that can be covered with makeup from the day of treatment.  The mild discomfort of the actual treatment is, for most people, like the snapping of a rubber band.  However, pretreatment with oral analgesics may make the treatment more comfortable.  Those who use Prescription Analgesics must have a driver to take them home.
