Elia
    Elia awoke with a cold sweat dripping down her face.  The dreams since the incident were killing her.  If she couldn't get the memories out of her head, they would slowly eat her alive.  Looking around, Elia couldn't remember where she was.  The rats squeaked and scurried around her, and she shuddered to think that she had slept with these creatures.  Somehow living conditions had been better before.  She had never had to worry about rats or the cob webs that she now had throughout her hair.  She slowly pulled the webs off of her head and threaded them into a ball.  Elia knew of a woman who was actually collecting cobwebs.  The lady thought they would make a fine dress if she had enough.  Elia needed the money, so she gathered all of the cobwebs in her tiny space.
     Sleeping in a shed was not the most ideal place for a lady of her stature, but she had nowhere else to turn.  Nor did she trust herself among anyone who might know her.  The memories were just so vivid in her mind.  Her mistake had been fatal, but not to her...
