Welcome to the Peterborough Vintage Cycle Club
This web site has been created to enable visitors and members to share
and enjoy reminiscences, pictures and information about the Peterborough
Vintage Cycle Club, which celebrated its Golden Anniversary in 2003.
We hope that it will stir some happy memories and fire the enthusiasm
for the next 50 years.
The Club has supported the National Association of Veteran Cycle Clubs
(NAVCC) since its inception in 1956 and is also affiliated to the International
Veteran Cycle Association (IVCA).
Members regularly attend the annual rallies of these organisations which
have taken them to America, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany
and the Netherlands, as well as many venues in the United Kingdom.
The Club holds its own annual rally in May or June each year.
New members are always welcome. If you do not have a suitable cycle this
need not stop you getting involved.
If you like a gentle ride - normally no more than 15 miles - or just fancy
the historical aspect, please email our Club Secretary, Mrs J Denton:
The Peterborough Vintage Cycle Club is proud to be the oldest club of
its type still in existence and looks forward to supporting the Veteran
Cycle movement for many years to come.
