Class 96.5fm commenced broadcasting in Mandurah,

Western Australia on September 1, 2000.

For many years Mandurah was a sleepy getaway from the hassles of the city. Being only one hour south of Perth, made it the ideal weekend escape. Famous for it's Blue Manna crabs,great fishing and waterways including the Murray and Serpentine Rivers.

Mandurah has grown to become a cosmopolitan town, canals with million dollar homes and large launches, but still having the relaxed lifestyle.

It's no wonder that Mandurah has become a haven for the "seniors",with a great lifestyle, government offices, hospitals, bowling and social clubs.

The two local commercial radio stations only cater for the 10 - 35 and 35 - 54 markets respectively.
