Violet and Red. Original is lithographed. 

1) The Q of BELGIQUE has a distinct tail. 

2) The lettering BEL of BELGIQUE is higher in the arc. 

3) The paper shows the tint of the violet ink.

4) There is a waffle pattern in boder around BELGIE. See red arrows. Click on the image to make it larger in a new window.

3) The paper shows no tint of the violet ink.

5) This stamp was illicitly printed by the same printer who made the original stamp. It was made from the 5 Cent plate and that is why the BELGIQUE is lower.
