My name is Cindy and if you're like me, the word WEALTH can mean something different to you than it does to other people. For me it means having time to spend with my family and friends and not having to work day and night just to make ends meet.
Before my children started school I was an at home mom, but staying at home put a financial strain on my family so when my youngest started school I got a part-time job. The company I worked for was great they understood that I was a mom first and an employee second. If one of my kids was sick they understood that I had to stay at home to care for my child. At the end of February the company closed and I am once again out of work. I've been offered other jobs, but all of them seem to think I should be an employee first and a mom second. They think I should get a babysitter for my sick child. I don't agree, I believe that my children need me not some babysitter, when they are sick.
Right now the meaning of wealth for me is the ability to be with my children and still contribute financially to the household. I don't expect to get rich and I know I won't make something for nothing. Making my dream come true will mean working at it. That's the only way to do it unless you're one of the lucky few who wins a lottery.
Luckily I won't have to work at it alone though. With this opportunity I have the help of many others. If I need help or advise they are all there for me. They are like an extended family.
