Burt, Cyril Lodowic

Burt, Cyril Lodowic, 1883 - 1971, psicólogo británico. Educado en Oxford y Würzburg, Fue una figura prominente en psicología. Burt hizo contribuciones significativas a la psicología educativa, y se observa para su desarrollo del método de análisis de factores en la prueba psicologica. especialista en niñez y su desarrollo mental.

 

Discutió en el delincuente joven (1925) la importancia de factores sociales y ambientales en delincuencia. Estableció 107 factores que desencadenarían en el niño un comportamiento no deseable o desviado.

 

Acreditado sin embargo inicialmente con la investigación importante referente a la herencia y a la inteligencia, la evidencia emergió después de que su muerte que indicaba que él había falsificado datos de la investigación.

 

Aunque estos descubrimientos disminuyeron su reputación, le todavía acreditan para su trabajo importante en psicología educativa.
