In November 1958, Thanh Nhung's photo appeared on the cover of the second issue of Pho Thong, a new popular magazine edited by poet Nguyen Vy who had been one of the major figures in the New Poetry Movement of the 1930s. This clipping lay buried for 30 years in one of the storage cabinets of her father, the late writer B.D. Ai My. After his death in 1987, Thanh Nhung's mother, poet Tam Tan, found it while sorting through her husband's personal belongings.
