Talks

From time to time I give colloquia, seminars, public lectures and other talks on various general topics, as well as technical presentations at conferences and professional society meetings.

My recent general non-technical presentations have been for the most part on the following topics:

  • "Women Scientists and Engineers of the Manhattan Project"
  • "Women Scientists of Antiquity"
  • "Medieval Women Scientists"
  • "Advances in Science: Discoveries by Women"
  • "Ethical Issues in Physics"
  • "Experiences of a Physicist in Emergency Preparedness"

I have given many presentations at universities and also have given a number of talks at national laboratories and for corporations. I was designated a Centennial speaker by the American Physical Society, and am one of the speakers of the American Physical Society's Women in Physics Colloquium Speakers List. Here's a flyer from a talk that I gave at Idaho National Engineering Laboratory.

If you are interested in inviting me to speak, contact me by e-mail at carol@herzenberg.net with information in regard to the event, projected audience size and profile, location and date.
