Mr. Parker, English Teacher About twenty of us will never forget being in Mr. Parker's english class in 1963... Mr. Chambers interrupted the class to tell us that President Kennedy was shot. School was closed for the day... Even though we were a country away, all students were shocked and emotional. We saw Kennedy as youthful, vibrant, and charismatic. Like September 11, 2001, our world changed for us that day.
