| 1. Active Treatment of Challenging Behaviors (10/27/00) -- An outline and explanation of the active treatment process as it relates to challenging behaviors. It is extracted from my Consultant's Report on Behavior Management and Related Supports completed 10/27/00 for the Pratt Monitor in the Evans v. Williams case in the District of Columbia. (The actual findings and recommendations are deleted.) 2. Behavior Assessment (05/28/01) -- format for drafting a comprehensive functional and diagnostic assessment. (Zip file includes merge and data document together. The merge doc should be activated only after downloading the data doc.) Note: The "Reinforcement Survey" might be better replaced by "Interest Survey". 3. Behavior Consult (01/24/02) -- alternative format for drafting comprehensive functional and diagnostic analysis. (Zip file includes merge and data document together. The merge doc should be activated only after downloading data doc.) 4. APU --> BSP -- This is a sample of an Annual Psychological Update (APU) and the consequent update of the individual's Behavior Support Plan (BSP). It is written in the more formal BSP format and not my newer PSP format. It does include a number of aspects of the PSP as I gradually transition all plans to a more person-centered format (Requests for Respect and Support, Behavior/Symptom Checklist, etc.). 5. Plan Training Files -- (updated 02/12/02) The following updates of files included on the disks handed out at my training sessions on 06/21/01, 06/22/01, 07/12/01, and 07/13/01. Just about all of this can be found elsewhere on this web site, but here it all is in one place for your convenience. Mental Health Aspects of Developmental Disabilities -- This journal is devoted to the mental health needs of people with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. It was previously named the "Habilitative Mental Health Newsletter". Click on it to go to their web site (www.mhaspectsofdd.com). A must have and great resource!! 7. WINZIP -- Here is a web site where you can download WinZip software for unzipping zip files. This is one of several. You can do an internet search to find alternative sources of zip software. 8. Comments on Psychotropic Medication and Dual Diagnosis (MH and MR) -- This is a letter I sent to to the Special Assistant for Special Populations of the PA Office of Mental Retardation regarding a rather impressive presentation he made on services for the dually diagnosed in April, 2001. You don't need to have been at the presentation to appreciate the comments. This is someone you might want to contact to learn more about what people are doing elsewhere. 9. B P Audit (07/07/03) -- Checklist for evaluating critical components of behavior plan. Also includes tool for dermining type and appropriate title for plan: Behavior .... Modification? Management?
