ELOISE GAITHER
Eloise's date of birth is a deep, dark, secret. We're not even sure that her husband knows it, although we do know it is in October! (Actually, we do know, but you'll have to ask her) Eloise was married to Harold Gaither (yes, he is a distant relative of Bill Gaither) in December, 1964. They have two grown children, Paula Baxter and Brian Gaither. Eloise wanted me to be sure to tell you she has one wonderful grandson, Kason and a new wonderful granddaughter, Ellie.

When growing up, Eloise attended Campground Presbyterian Church, which is not far from where she lives today in Midland, Tennessee. Midland is a small (wide place in the road) community about halfway between Shelbyville and Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She now attends Victory Baptist Church in Shelbyville, where she is very active. A very vital part of Eloise's testimony is that she was a lost church member and was even active in her church. Then she came to the realization that, though she was religious, she was lost and she received Christ as her personal Savior, and her life completely changed..

Eloise is employed by Rutherford County in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. There is more to that than there appears to be, because this is an elected position. You can get an idea of Eloise's character when I tell you that she has been unopposed in the last two elections. By the way, if you get a speeding ticket in Rutherford County, she's the one you pay!

Eloise has sung all of her life. In high school (Christiana High School) she sang with a trio called "The Teardrops" (sounds like a 50's group, doesn't it?). Then she sang with a ladies quartet (yes quartet) from Campground Presbyterian Church. She spent several years with "The Victory Crusaders," a local group that was quite well known. She's been singing with the Challengers now for about eleven years, and we couldn't do without her. She is a true blessing to all who know her.
