OVERTIME Honoured with 3 CFRC NOMINATIONS

Last week the CFRC Radio club announced its nominees for this years' 2000-2001 radio awards. Many excellent shows were listed for categories such as: best pop/rock show, best classical show, most dedicated volunteer and many more. The OVERTIME crew was excited to hear that they had been nominated as best spoken word radio show on CFRC-FM. Last year the spots team of Neil Acharya, Nate Sagart, Eric Shekin and Sean Diamond were the recipients of the reward but now, OVERTIME is going head to head against Neil and Nate's "The Sports Revoultion" and many other shows in challenging for the award. "It is great that other people listen to, and appreciate our show." Said Overtime Guru Sean Diamond. "We are honoured to recieve a nomination for this award". Other shows that recieved nomination were "Discourse This" hosted by Gred Hughes, "The Sport of Kings" hosted by OVERTIME's own Dan Vertlieb and as previously mentioned "The Sports Revolution" hosted by Neil Acharya and Ben Milledge.

Another CFRC-FM radio award that is given out is the best newcomer award. This is presented to one of the "rookie" members of CFRC-FM who is deemed the "best" volunteer. Two OVERTIME gurus are nominated for this award as Both Dan Vertleib and Sean Diamond have recieved the honour. This puts these two personalities head to head. "It is both unexpected and exciting to be considered for this award, I am sure Dan feels th same way." Says Diamond. "It does not matter if Dan, Myself or another deserving volunteer wins, it is an honour that I was simply nominated." he contiuned. The announcements on winners will be made Tuesday April 17 at the Lonestar Bar and Restraunt. Tune in to see if OVERTIME or any of its gurus come out with the award.
