Season 2002 is over and it was once again a very successful season for the Black and White army. The first division outfit outplayed, outwitted and outlasted all competitors on its way to a repeat first division premiership.

With the grand final played at Marley Brown Oval it front oof a vocal crowd, Central overcame favourites BITS to win in penalty shootouts, mainly thanks to the heroics of goalkeeper David Longden.
