If we're not checking
out The Weather Channel so we can plan our hunting trips, Dad or Mom keep
us updated on the latest news that affects us. (Sometimes they might
even read us the comics!)
Here I am sitting
with Dad's cousin (by marriage!) Mike. He comes down from Maryland
almost every year to go hunting, and sometimes I take him out to find some
birds. He's a good guy and his wife JoAnn, Dad's cousin, is a great
cook! They send us goodies she makes and even includes some for
us puppies!
Here's Ken and
his pup, Fred. Fred is a Treeing Walker Hound and a vocal one, too!
(He likes to talk on the phone!) Ken is a real puppy person, and he and
his wife Ellen have two more besides Fred. I really like Ken and
he always is glad when I say Hi to him. "Woof!"
Believe it or
not there are rare moments when it snows in Georgia. Here's Beau
and me playing in the snow. It sure was cold!
Well, this doesn't
really show a good time as far as I'm concerned. This was taken during
the Flood of '94 when Tropical Storm Alberto dumped a lot of water over
Georgia. Les and I are in the road between our front yard and the
neighbor's back yard. Lesley had fun playing the in the water, but
I hate to get my toes wet!
Now this is what
I call a good time. I got to go on a retreat with my folks and some
of the nice people from a church group. ... And the food was great!
There's nothing more relaxing than rubbing a puppy's belly! Right,
Susan?!
This was at the
retreat, too. Some of them took some time to shoot some silly things
they call clay pigeons or skeet. I tried to join in the "fun,"
but frankly I don't see the point in shooting something you can't eat.
I'd chase down those things, but I wasn't about to put one of those nasty
things in my mouth! Yuck!
Here's Celia and
Peabody with their good friends Donna and Flash. They were at the
St. Jude Trail Ride here.
Here's Lesley
all dressed up for the senior prom.
Gee, she cleans
up pretty good!
Here's Mom and
Dad on a trail ride with Kansas and Peabody. Sometimes I go with
them, but I want to look for birds and all the horses want to do is just walk!
