Ubonga Sequence Of Play

Thanks to both Jim Wright and Jere McDonough who have given me many good suggestions for Ubonga. Below is one of them; a sequence of play.

Ubonga Sequence Of Play

Day One

  1. Organize Work Details
  2. Organize Exploration Mission Parties
  3. Check For Mission Events, Roll 1D6 - 1 or 2 equals an Event.
  4. Organize Mission Event Parties

Days Two Through Six

(Note: Mission Parties that are in the field will use this sequence for Day One also.)
  1. Mission Parties
    1. Determine Weather if more than 6 squares from base. Roll D10.
    2. Determine Rain. Roll D20.
    3. Move MIssion Party.
    4. Determine unknown square's terrain. Roll D8 twice.
    5. Determine if a stream is in the square. Roll D10.
    6. Determine if a trail is in the square. Roll D10
    7. Determine if a wilderness encounter occurs. Roll D6 - a "1" equals an encounter.
    8. Resolve wilderness encounter.
    9. Determine if natives are encountered. D10
    10. Resolve native encounter.
    11. If in Target Square, resolve the mission.
    12. Determine hunting results Roll D6. A roll of "6" may trigger a hunting encounter, Roll D6 - a 1 or 2 equals encounter.
    13. Resolve hunting encounters.
    14. Determine theft results.
    15. Determine Sickness from Heat.
    16. Determine Sickness from Rain.
    17. Determine Food Shortage results.
    18. Record Supply Usage.
  2. Base Camp
    1. Determine Weather. Roll D10.
    2. Determine Rain. Roll D20.
    3. Determine Work Day Results.
    4. Determine hunting results Roll D6. A roll of "6" may trigger a hunting encounter, Roll D6 - a 1 or 2 equals encounter.
    5. Resolve hunting encounters.
    6. Determine theft results.
    7. Determine Sickness from Heat.
    8. Determine Sickness from Rain.
    9. Determine Food Shortage results.
    10. Record Supply Usage.
