The company was founded almost 10 years ago by Washington DC area resident Roberto Campos in partnership with his wife. Since its establishment, the company has taken on many translation projects ranging from current conversational English to very technical matters. Roberto Campos is owner and President of C&C International. His experience in the translation field began over 30 years ago, while serving as a commissioned officer in the Chilean Navy. During that time he translated international conference documents from the IMO (International Maritime Organization) for the Chilean Maritime Directorate. He continued to gain experience in the translation field after being assigned to take a course on Naval Control of Shipping with the U.S. Navy. Following a 20+ year professional career in the Chilean Navy, Mr. Campos moved with his family to the United States, establishing his home in the Washington, DC area where he joined the Embassy of Chile. After almost 20 years of service, Mr. Campos left the Embassy to start his own Import/Export and Spanish Translation Business. After expanding his knowledge and experience in business and international trade, Mr. Campos, along with his wife became US Citizens and established C&C International, exporting U.S. products and providing Spanish translation services to area businesses.Mr. Campos’ vision includes helping to eliminate language barriers, which he believes to be a necessary and important contribution not only to international trade, but also to businesses in the U.S. where Hispanics represent a considerable percentage of the labor force and a large number of business customers.
Mrs. Lily Campos, owner and Chief Financial Officer, brings a variety of skills to C&C International. She is highly skilled in computers most notably Microsoft Word, Word Perfect and Power Point. She also has many years of experience in accounting and budgeting. Her work experience includes assignments as a legal secretary working for a British firm in Chile and jobs in the United States at General Electric and most recently Berlitz. Mrs. Campos has also done work as an interpreter for legal cases. Mrs. Campos serves as Translator and Editor and is also in charge of final product layout and delivery as well as overseeing the financial aspects of the company.
Lily Campos Nieberding, Vice President of Operations, is a graduate of the Univeristy of Maryland with a degree in International Relations. She has over 15 years of experience in international business most recently as a Manager for Marriott International. She is also owner of an established on-line retail business. Ms. Nieberding serves as Translator and Editor for C&C International. She is also in charge of Sales and Marketing. |
