Describe a typical working day (if there is such a thing!)
"My working day starts at 8.30 when I get a briefing from the Met. Office and prepare my charts and satellite pictures etc for the first bulletins.
Then I slap on as much make up on as I have time to before we record. Then its back to the Mac where I update charts all day between bulletins. Its busy, we record up to 20 weather/pollen bulletins a day. Theres no autocue so I have to keep the ever changing story in my mind at all times. Sometimes we go out and about with Calendar to cover weather news items. I normally wind up leaving at about 5 or 6."

Any ambitions left?
"My ambition is to become a successful presenter,
it would be great to make a livng out of what I love doing."

Biggest influence in your life?
"My biggest influences are my parents, they are always there
with loads of hugs which is the best medicine."

Best advice that you've been given and why?
"The best advice I heard was to never have regrets and never apologise.
I have mastered the first one, but need to curb my habit
of saying sorry all the time when I don't mean it!"

Any hobbies or special interests?
"Outside of work I love the theatre, I'm a big foodie and enjoy walks in the country ( especially the Cotswolds and Dales). Bit of a football and rugby fan too and have recently taken up golf...?!"

Any advice for those who want to get started in broadcasting?
"I think to get into broadcasting its important to know what you want to do specifically. Thick skin is essential"
