Scuba Diving, Thailand, August 1999

A quick escape from the smog and insane traffic of Bangkok - not like Leo in "the beach" by bus - but with a turbo prop straight to.....

...the beautiful sunsets of Koh Samui....

.....and its beaches.....

.....met some friends, rented mopeds and drove around the island to see the golden buddha, watch monkeys harvest coconuts, go on elephant safaris in the jungle and to scuba dive.....

The Picasso triggerfish, famous for trying to bite bits out of you or your fins, whatever is closest, if you dare and come to close to its territory.

Schooling barracuda, and lots of them! Not a comforting thought, when they are between you and the surface.

And everybodies favourite, the Clownfish. Always good for a nice wind-up..... They actually gnash their teeth to scare you away - they're 5cm long, so beware!
