  More Important Stuff!!
  Kingsford

Perhaps to humans this is not something to discuss, but to the Cats of the world this is more important than food. DeClawing is a vicious method used by some humans to contain a natural act performed by Cats daily. Perhaps you see "vicious" as a rather strong term. Tough. Let me remove a few of your fingers to the first knuckle and then we'll talk about terminology.
This is a totally unecessary practice that goes on for the sake of furnishings and possibly a bit of fear added in. Cats naturally "scratch" on objects. Some say it is the scenting factor, some of it is to remove the "sheath" that continually grows on out claws. I personally do not care why you think we do it. We just do it. Accept that and you accept us.
There are solutions to the "scratching" thing. And these are solutions that work. My most favorite is the cardboard thingy my Meowmy buys for me. It is loaded with Catnip-Yummy!-and has the wonderful smell of cardboard as an added bonus. You can pick these up at most Wal-Marts really cheap! They last for months and keep us happily away from your smelly furniture. (Remember-you SIT on that stuff!) They also have a site you can visit-I just found this out!!! It is located at
  "http://www.worldwise.com"
So...before you rip out our knuckles and cause us weeks of pain, and take away the very part of us that keeps us in touch with our wild nature, please conside other alternatives! If you just want something warm and furry to touch on occasion, something that will not play or get in your way or bother your stuff, please do not consider a Cat. Get a stuffed toy and a heating pad. They behave perfectly. We are by nature an active playful animal. We can find fun in a paper bag for goodness sake! Be considerate of who we are and what we are. Cats are only once removed from their wild nature! We love to prowl and stalk and capture things! Try it sometime! You may find it a whole lot of fun!!
Thanks for your time and attention. This is only one part of many. Our pages are being developed to help YOU, the lowly human, to adjust to caring properly for your dominant and superior Feline counterpart. Don't take that as an insult, remember-we were Gods once-were you?
More information on the facts about DeClawing can be found at these sites, Please take time to learn what you may be doing to your Cats.
Of Course there is LisaViolets information Page at http://www.lisaviolet.com/cathouse/declaw.html
As always there is Action Cat! Stop by her site at http://www.actioncat.com/
Then you might want to visit PawPrints & Purrs at http://www.sniksnak.com/
CatStuff has some great banners and buttons to display on your site.CatStuff
There are so many wonderful places out there trying to help out the animals and we will be listing as many of them as we can find on out Caring Links page. Please stop in there and see who has been added. You realize that your society and the treatment of the animals within that society reflect on the very structure of it. You may not think a young Kitty should know all this, but I read A LOT!!
More information, more education and a whole lot more of a Cats opinion...keep going to the Rest of Our Site! Links to all of our site are always located at the bottom of every page!
