Hi Stephanie!
I trust your Christmas was enjoyable as our was. The girls absolutely
LOVE the rats! I've had to insist that they (the rats) get a few
naps in, so they don't overdo it! Katie (7) has named hers "Tom",
and Kimmy (4) has named hers "Whiskers" or "Scott" - she's alternating
today. The kids have been very gentle with them, and I'm so thankful
that the rats were tamed so well. They haven't bitten and just love
being held. Steve (my husband) and I played with them for about
an hour on the bed last night, and they loved burrowing thru the
"tunnels" in the comforter.
We've also found that they love snuggling on our necks under our
hair, and even my 4 y/o handles it well, even when it "tickles".
Our 2 y/o (Kalyssa) was able to hold them under close supervision,
and definitely will want her own when she's a little older. With
all the girls in the house, these boys help balance out the genders
a little! :)
I took some 35 mm pictures that I'll develop this weekend. Please
let me know where I can send the copies to you! Again, thanks for
all the time you put into socializing them - it's great!
