Birth Story
My pregnancy with Carolyn was rocky almost from the beginning. I got pregnant immediately after my second miscarriage. It was like the very next cycle. Everything seemed normal until I was about 13 weeks along. Then my world got turned upside down. I began bleeding heavily and was hospitalized. (Click here to read the story) While in the hospital, my water seemed to have broken. I lost some fluid but on ultrasound, the baby was okay. I was released after two days on complete bedrest. I had the bleeding a few more times after that. In May of 2002, they thought that there was a problem with the baby's stomach when I went in for my 20 week ultrasound. After seeing a specialist, it was determined that there was nothing wrong. I also learned that it was a GIRL!! In August of 2002, I was put on moderate bed rest. I was induced on September 22, 2002 - 8 days late. Carolyn Veronica Eunice was born on September 23, 2002 at 1:45 pm. We were released from the hospital on September 25, 2002. |
