Hi Linda,

Still trying to make contact... though I'm very busy, had a few unsuccessful
tries in the chat room. I'm a 23 yr. old psychology major, philosophy minor
at UF. I've been a pantheist since I was 17 (when I started studying
philosophy). At any rate here's the reasons why I consider myself to be
"pantheist":

1.) I have no belief in any defined God, nor do I know what "God" really
means.

2.) I'm a firm believer in eternal (no beginning, no end) somethingness and
eternal nothingness. Without something, there could be no no thing, and
without no thing there could only be something that never moved. In short,
"Ex Nihilo Nihil", from nothing comes nothing. (also fits nicely with law of
conservation of energy/matter).

3.) I see an amazing amount of order amid seeming chaos. Our
universe/environment appears to have common bonds and materials.

4.) Humans, human minds, and human hearts are the environment, but the
environment is much more than humans.

5.) If there is any force that causes this order, then we are composed of
that force, as it surrounds us all, forever. I do not care if this force as
a whole is conscious on some basic level or not, but I do not care because I
know that [I], composed of that force, am conscious on some level.

6.) I neither disbelieve nor believe things that I have not experienced or
not reasoned. Most phenomenon, empirical or metaphysical, I categorize as
either [probable] or [possible].

7.) At moments I enjoy and savor all experiences of natural phenomenon,
including life. However, most people would think it strange to get
reminders of a "full-moon". (no offense, Linda, but I don't want to feel
like I belong to the 'cult of the werewolf').

(but if you want to talk about some Real astronomy then I'm game!)
