Examples of 18th and 19th century cannon rest outside government buildings, historic forts, universities, museums, and armouries across Canada as symbols of our military heritage. This website attempts to provide an inventory of those artillery pieces. These smooth-bore cannons originated in Great Britain, France, and Russia although some came out of 20th century founderies as reproductions.
